Notice of Special Meeting followed by Strata AGM Monday January 28, 2019, at 7pm

January 16th, 2019

There will be a Special Meeting Monday January 28, 2019, at 7pm in the Laundry Room, 1545 West 13th Avenue. The Special Meeting is to pass a Bylaw allowing the Strata to levy fines/interest when Strata fees or special levies are not received when due. This Bylaw will echo language found in other BC Strata bylaws.

We will hold our Strata AGM immediately after the Special Meeting.
The Strata AGM will deal with Insurance Coverage, Financial Statements, Budget for 2019, elect Strata Council, and deal with new and old Business.

If you cannot attend, please send a signed proxy by email to Merry. Please make clear that your proxy is for both the Special Meeting and for the AGM.

Strata Council Meeting Friday Nov. 2, 7pm

We are holding a Strata Council Meeting on Friday Nov. 2, 7pm, in the Laundry Room at 1545 W. 13th. The agenda will be: Maintenance review: getting power washing done, drains cleaned, minor stucco repair.

We will also give an update on our current financials.

Annual General Meeting Tuesday Jan 30th, 2018

Strata VR1591 will hold our Strata AGM on Tuesday January 30th at 7pm, in the Laundry Room at 1545 West 13th Avenue. The Agenda will include:

  • Review of insurance, due Feb ’18
  • Review Financials from 2017, and
  • approve Budget for 2018, review any old/ new business, elect a Strata Council.

It is anticipated that we will not need to increase Strata Fees this year, so we expect that post-dated cheques for your current Strata Fee will meet our needs for 2018. A draft copy of the Financials will be sent prior to the meeting.

Special Meeting for registered owners of Strata VR 1591

March 24th, 2017

There will be a Special Meeting for registered owners of Strata VR 1591 on Thursday, April 6, 2017, 7pm, to be held in the Laundry Room, 1545 West 13th Ave, Vancouver.

There will be two issues voted on:

  • A Special Levy and Disbursement from Contingency to pay for replacement of carpets in the building, (a cheque for your portion of this Levy is due to Shirley Heise by April 30th, should the vote go through,)
  • a No Smoking Bylaw.

Should you wish to vote at this meeting, and cannot make it in person, please send your proxy to Merry indicating how you wish to vote on these two issues.

There will be an Annual General Meeting of Strata VR1591 on Thursday January 26, 2017, at 7pm, to be held in the Laundry Room at 1545 West 13th.

Agenda will be Financial Statements and Budget review, Election of Officials, Report on Insurance, Maintenance Review, Capital Project: Carpet quotes, and discussion of wording for new bylaw on non-smoking.

Please also welcome the new owner of Suite 203, Devon Gignac.

The Owners List will be updated for the meeting. Please send Merry any changes to your address, phone numbers, email address, and name of extra key holder to your unit.
